Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Looking for a quick answer?
Here are our most frequently asked questions (FAQ):

CAN WE ARRANGE A PICK-UP FOR LARGE ITEMS?

At this time, RENEW Community Store does not arrange for large-item pick-ups. However, please contact us if you have a truck or trailer and a few spare hours to help pick up or deliver items for RENEW.

DO I NEED TO CALL BEFORE I DROP OFF A DONATION?

It is unnecessary, but it is helpful if we are notified in advance of large donations–or if heavy items are being donated where we might need to help unload.

WHERE DID ALL THE CLOTHES GO?

All clothing donations are given to our community partners. Clothes dropped off at RENEW still end up in good hands even though we don’t currently sell them on our floor.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

All sales are final.

CAN I PUT SOMETHING ON HOLD?

RENEW requires the purchaser to prepay or put a deposit down to put an item on hold; the purchaser and RENEW can arrange how long an item can be on hold for.

DO YOU SELL ANY CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS?

We do not sell construction materials, but we accept and sell the hand-held tools you might need to complete your project. Sometimes we might have smaller shop tools like drill presses. If you are uncertain whether your tool will be accepted, feel free to reach out |here|. If you are looking to donate or purchase construction materials, we recommend the Restore.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR BECOMING A VOLUNTEER AT RENEW COMMUNITY STORE?

After you reach out, we will arrange for you to come in to fill out a volunteer questionnaire. The form asks about your availability and which accommodations would need to be made to ensure you have a positive experience.

Some of our volunteers work the stockroom, some run the cash, and others help dust/clean. We appreciate any of the gifts you bring to the table!

HOW INVOLVED DO I NEED TO BE IN ORDER TO BE A VOLUNTEER?

Some of our volunteers work one or two shifts a week, and some come in once a month. Start the conversation here!
